KATSEYE’s Yoonchae x Dr.Jart+: The BB Cream and Routine She Names

No celebrity or brand mentioned here endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with Opeau.

Yoonchae, the 18-year-old Seoul-born member of KATSEYE, was named Dr.Jart+’s first-ever North America brand ambassador on October 30, 2026. She fronts the campaign for the brand’s newly reformulated Premium BB Cream SPF 30, and she named several Dr.Jart+ products in interviews with Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire the same day. This guide sorts out what is confirmed, walks through the routine she describes, and shows how to build a similar skin-first version, including two budget alternatives.

One thing to know up front: Yoonchae is an official Dr.Jart+ brand ambassador (a commercial partnership), so her comments about its products are part of the brand’s campaign. Opeau has no relationship with Yoonchae, KATSEYE or Dr.Jart+. Everything below is researched from published sources, not hands-on testing.

Quick answer

  • Dr.Jart+ says the Premium BB SPF 30 is “newly reformulated with 2% Niacinamide and Glycerin” and comes in eight shades.
  • Her routine is short: a foam cleanser, the BB cream by day, then a milky toner and a ceramide cream at night.
  • The brand’s list price is $49 for 40 ml, per its Oct 30 release.
  • On Amazon, pick “New Formulation” and check the SPF on the listing and label before you buy.
  • Budget swaps: MISSHA M Perfect Cover BB Cream and CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. Formulas differ from the Dr.Jart+ originals.

On the Amazon row: our check on November 3 found the page offers “New Formulation” and “Original Formulation” options, and the listing text still describes an SPF 40 version. Choose “New Formulation” and confirm the SPF yourself.

The Premium BB Cream she fronts

Dr.Jart+ calls Premium BB a skincare-makeup hybrid and says it “introduced BB cream to the U.S.” The brand was founded in Seoul in 2005 and is owned by The Estée Lauder Companies, according to Cosmetics Business. For the new version, Dr.Jart+ says it “moisturizes, strengthens skin’s barrier, protects with SPF and delivers all-day coverage with a natural glass skin finish.” Those are the brand’s claims.

Texture and shades. The brand’s product page describes a “creamy-gel texture” and eight shades: Deep Tan-Deep, Tan, Medium Tan, Light Medium-Medium, Light-Light Medium, Fair Light, Fair Warm and Fair. It is sold at drjart.com, Amazon, TikTok Shop and Sephora.com.

How to apply, per the brand. Use a pea-size amount, press and blend, and wait up to two minutes for it to dry down.

Who it may suit. The product page calls it “non-acnegenic,” a brand description, not a guarantee. Yoonchae says she has acne-prone, combination skin. Her experience may not match yours, so patch test on a small area first.

A sunscreen caveat. Sephora lists octinoxate, octisalate, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide as the sunscreen actives, a mix of chemical and mineral filters. Dermatologists generally advise applying enough product for the SPF on the label; a thin layer of tinted product may give less than that. If you rely on it for sun protection, consider layering a dedicated sunscreen underneath.

Yoonchae’s routine, in her own words

Morning and makeup days. In Marie Claire (Oct 30, 2026) she says she loves the Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Gentle Foam cleanser because it is “really good for sensitive skin and for removing makeup and dirt.” Her base is Premium BB Cream “because it gives me natural-looking coverage without feeling too heavy.” She then adds blush placed under the eyes and toward the center of her face, a technique she calls Korean.

After a show. She told Cosmopolitan (Oct 30, 2026): “I always start by removing my makeup and cleansing really well.” Then she uses the Ceramidin Milky Toner and Moisturizing Cream “to help my skin feel hydrated and comfortable.” Marie Claire names the toner as Ceramidin Skin Barrier Milky Toner, followed by the Ceramidin Moisturizing Cream.

Travel days. “If I have a little extra time, I’ll use the CryoRubber Moisturizing Mask on a flight or a travel day as a special treat.” We do not link that mask here.

The underlying idea. Her older sister taught her that “you don’t always need a lot of products,” and she says consistency and removing makeup properly matter most. That is a sensible takeaway whatever you buy.

How to build a similar skin-first routine

The “What she uses” column follows her interviews. The notes on why each step is there are quoted from her or the brand, and the budget picks and general advice are our suggestions.

Our suggestions. Cleanse thoroughly at night, especially after a full day of makeup. Add products one at a time so that if something irritates, you know which one. Patch test anything new on a small area for a few days. If you have acne or another skin condition, ask a dermatologist before changing your routine.

Budget alternative: MISSHA M Perfect Cover BB Cream. A K-beauty BB cream with SPF 42. The Amazon link goes to shade No.21 Light Beige, and the shade range is narrower than Dr.Jart+’s eight, so check the shades first. The formula differs from Premium BB.

Budget alternative: CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. CeraVe says it contains three essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid. It is a different formula from the Ceramidin cream, so expect a different feel.

Her makeup and fragrance picks

Beyond skincare, Yoonchae says she loves “a fresh, glowy makeup look with lots of blush,” using the Korean technique of placing blush right under the eyes toward the center of the face. She names NARS Powder Blush, a little brown eyeliner and a soft lip color. Her desert-island lip combo is a Kosas liner in Beyond with Kiko Hydro Gloss. For fragrance she names Chanel CHANCE EAU TENDRE and sometimes Le Labo Musc 25. She also mentions a Therabody de-puffing tool in her morning routine. We do not link any of these.
