Dove Cameron x Curology Ethereal Glow: What’s In It, Plus Alternatives

No celebrity or brand mentioned here endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with Opeau.

On October 27, 2026, Curology launched the Ethereal Glow Collection, a four-piece, non-prescription hydration line co-created with actress and singer Dove Cameron. On November 2, NewBeauty published an interview with Cameron that walks through each product. If you are building a dry-season routine and wondering what is in the set, who it is for and what you can buy elsewhere, this guide sorts confirmed facts from open questions.

One point up front: this is Dove Cameron’s own commercial collaboration with Curology. She co-created the line, so her comments about it are part of the brand’s launch, not an independent review. Opeau has no relationship with Dove Cameron or Curology, and everything below comes from published reporting and brand statements that we researched.

Quick answer

  • Ethereal Glow has four products: a gel-to-foam cleanser, a gel-cream moisturizer, a hydrating primer and a glossy lip treatment.
  • It launched October 27, 2026, exclusively at curology.com, and is described as non-prescription, vegan and cruelty-free.
  • It is the first of three collections planned over the next year. Retail plans have not been detailed.
  • Because the set is not in stores yet, we picked widely available products that do a similar job. Their formulas are different, and they are not copies.

WWD also cited industry sources estimating first-year sales. That is an estimate, not a Curology figure, so we leave it out.

What’s in the Ethereal Glow collection

Curology’s October 27 announcement says its dermatology and science teams developed the formulas, while Cameron shaped the visual identity, names, packaging and how the products layer into a routine. WWD reports the line was developed with Curology’s chief dermatologist, Dr. Whitney Tolpinrud. The snake motif on the packaging was inspired by Cameron’s own tattoos. Curology also says the full line is non-prescription, cruelty-free and vegan.

Shed the Day Cleanser. Curology calls it a gentle gel-to-foam cleanser that helps wash away makeup and impurities without leaving skin feeling stripped. NewBeauty describes a weightless gel-to-foam formula that cleanses and boosts moisture without stripping. Cameron: “I’ve always looked for a gel-to-foam cleanser that doesn’t dry out my skin, and now I finally have one.”

Lethal Glow Moisturizer. Curology describes a peptide-infused gel-cream with a weightless finish. NewBeauty calls it the workhorse: a weightless gel-cream with five weights of hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid and peptides. Cameron calls it “the one for when I want my skin hydrated and naturally glowy, morning or night.”

Ethereal Primer. A dual-action hydrating and blurring primer made with ceramides and soft-focus blurring powders, per Curology. Cameron: “It gives me a smoother-looking base without feeling heavy.”

Sugar Venom Lip Treatment. Curology calls it a high-shine lip shimmer made with a trio of rich hydrators for a glass-like finish. Cameron: “I love the glossy, glass-like finish, but the hydration matters just as much to me.”

Pricing (Curology’s launch prices, as reported by NewBeauty on November 2, 2026): the full four-piece set is $50 at an introductory price, and individual products are $15 (cleanser), $20 (primer), $21 (moisturizer) and $12 (lip). Prices can change, so check curology.com.

Who it suits

The line is built around hydration. Cameron told WWD she has combination skin (“My skin needs change”), while telling NewBeauty that her skin is “naturally dry” and that sets, flights, travel and makeup rob it of hydration. She told WWD she designed a line she needed, adding, “If it works for me, it will work for a lot of people.” That is a launch-side view, and skin varies.

The products are non-prescription. Curology says the collection is available whether or not you use Curology and was designed to pair with its personalized prescription treatments. If you use prescription products, ask your Curology provider or dermatologist how they fit together.

Practical cautions apply to any new skincare: patch test first, read the full ingredient list on the product page, and skip anything containing an ingredient you know bothers you. If you have a skin condition, ask a dermatologist before changing your routine.

How to build a similar routine

Curology’s launch announcement does not publish a step-by-step order. Cameron’s comments point to the cleanser as an end-of-day step, the moisturizer for morning or night, and the primer as a base under makeup. Everything else here is our suggestion, not Curology’s.

  1. Cleanse (AM and PM). Cameron calls the cleanser her end-of-the-day go-to. A gentle cleanse in the morning is our suggestion.
  2. Hydrating serum (our suggestion). A thin layer on slightly damp skin, before moisturizer.
  3. Gel-cream (AM and PM). Cameron says Lethal Glow works morning or night.
  4. Primer (AM, on makeup days). Cameron describes it as giving a smoother-looking base without feeling heavy. Sunscreen in your daytime routine is our suggestion.
  5. Lip product (anytime). Apply as needed, including before bed in dry weather (our suggestion).

The alternatives

These are widely available products that do a similar job, matched step for step. They are not dupes: the formulas differ, and we describe each only by what the brand or listing says. On November 2, 2026, we verified that each Amazon listing was in stock and shipped and sold by Amazon.

Cleanser: CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser. CeraVe says it contains ceramides, hyaluronic acid and amino acids and removes makeup. It is cream-to-foam rather than gel-to-foam, so the texture will feel different.

Gel-cream: Clinique Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator. The listing describes an oil-free gel-cream with hyaluronic acid and aloe bioferment. It is a different formula from Lethal Glow.

Add-on: The INKEY List Polyglutamic Acid Serum. Lethal Glow includes polyglutamic acid, per NewBeauty. This is a standalone polyglutamic acid serum; the listing says it locks in moisture and can be used before makeup.

Primer: e.l.f. Power Grip Primer. The listing describes a hydrating gel primer that grips makeup, has a translucent finish and is made for dry, combination and oily skin. It is a gripping gel primer, not a ceramide blurring primer like Ethereal Primer, so expect a different effect.

Ethereal Glow vs. alternatives: when to pick which

Choose Ethereal Glow if you want a matched four-step set and are happy to order from curology.com. Because it is not in stores yet, you cannot sample it in person.

Choose an alternative if you want something from a retailer you already use, or only need one step covered. Expect differences in texture (cream-to-foam versus gel-to-foam), ingredients (these products do not mirror Ethereal Glow’s listed peptides and ceramides) and finish. Compare ingredient lists before you buy.
